Our KC fiscal year began July 1st. Our new year is off to an exciting start with many charitable activities in the wind. Let’s keep the momentum going!

August has a 5th Sunday. The Olander’s can use help serving and cleaning up after post mass fellowship.
Our annual Tootsie Roll Drive will be coming up in August. We have scheduled August 13, 14, 15 and after the masses on the 16th. Dick’s Grocery, Farm & Home, Walmart and Bizzy Bean Coffee Shop have been generous to allow us space at their locations. Please patronize these local businesses. Please consider working one or two of these shifts for our cause to help people with intellectual disabilities. This tootsie roll drive is one of our most visible activities and builds good will towards our Knights of Columbus council throughout the community. The youth KC Punt, Pass & Kick contest will be held at Citizens’ Field, August 26 in conjunction with Centre’s corn fest. If you have a son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter 8 to 12 years old, sign them up. Mark Griffin-Boyle could use some help conducting this activity.
Bingo is on summer break but will resume Thursday September 10th. I understand there is a substantial jackpot carry over from last May.
The state is still looking for a Superior Diocesan Charity Committee Representative. This job would be collecting state raffle tickets and attending the state convention. The previous knight who held this position for many years was seriously injured in a farm accident and is no longer able to do this job. Please contact myself or Phil Mills if you can help in this area.
