Officer’s meeting: 6:00PM Tuesday December 9.
I hope everyone has a good advent. We experience hope, peace and joy in anticipation of the birth of Jesus Christ, our messiah.
December is perhaps my favorite KC monthly meeting of the year. It will be a very busy month for our council. A KC official is making the trip from Green Bay to speak at our monthly meeting. Let’s have a good turn out to make a good impression. We will have a Knights of Columbus display at IC after mass at the Christmas Fair the weekend of the 6th and 7th and could use some volunteers for this. There will be a mass to celebrate the Dennis & Jackie Mitchell family’s KC state Family of the Year award on December 14 at St. Patrick’s with a meal to follow. Bishop Powers will be in attendance. The KC Honor Guard will be there. Knight’s wives are invited to help with cookies, bars or serving. Contact me or Julie Reil of St. Patrick’s. All knights, of course are invited to attend this 11am mass.
We are looking for a volunteer to lead the KC Knowledge Contest. This is a math and spelling contest for grades 5-8 at St. Mary’s School. It needs to get under way right after the kids come back from Christmas vacation. Please be that guy who steps forward. Perhaps a knight with children in this age group.
We’d like to have a first-degree exemplification before the end of the year. There are a couple of good prospects out there. If you know of others, let the recruitment guys know and we’ll get this underway. After this month’s meeting we will enjoy our annual potluck. Members bring a sample of their favorite venison recipe, smoked or pickled fish, meatballs or whatever is your personal favorite dish to share. If you can make only one meeting this year, this would be the one.
Dates to remember:
December 6, Christmas Fair IC after 5pm mass.
December 7, Christmas Fair IC after 9am mass.
December 9, KC monthly meeting 7pm.
December 14, Mass and celebration for the Dennis Mitchell KC state Family of the Year 2025 at St. Patrick’s.
