Chaplain’s Message: At the conclusion of the Memorial Mass for our departed Knights of Columbus members this evening, Father expressed appreciation for the reading of the names of our departed members while at Mass. In addition, this thought was encapsulated in Father’s homily: In doing charity work or volunteering, don’t do it for a pat on the back, do it because you feel it is needed and for giving back to the church and community.

Shawn: We just had Veteran’s Day. Remembered everyone as a Veteran. How am I going to be remembered? How is my family going to remember me? As we approach the season of giving, this is something you can impact during the giving season. As Father said, don’t do good deeds for the pat on the back, do it for very intentional personal reasons. Think about investing in the Knights of Columbus life insurance or retirement accounts. Until your family may need the life insurance, the money ($185 million), is helping people around the world. So, as you are taking inventory of your goals, please include Knight of Columbus in your thought process.
