Our council hosted the annual officers’ installation on the 18th of August. The officers were installed by our new District Deputy Paul Krenik. A delicious meal was then enjoyed by all.
Our council was again represented at Somerset’s annual golf tournament. They did not get the paddle back but they did win the $1000.00 drawing!
Congratulations to the Dennis Mitchell Family for being selected as one of 100 monthly “Family of the Month” winners at the Supreme Council Office.

Youth Activities: Our annual Punt, Pass, and Kick, and Soccer challenge is coming up right around the corner. We will need a chairman to coordinate each of these events. If you are interested in helping or chairing either or both of these events, please contact our program coordinator Doug Mills.
Bingo: It’s that time of year again! Bingo starts on Sunday, September 11th. Please remember that we need help every Sunday and the last Friday of each month. A sign-up sheet will be at the meeting, please start planning to help.
Food Drive: Ed Zimmerman can always use help on the 2nd Monday of each month, 11:30 a.m. at Wal-Mart (southwest end of the building) to help load food and deliver it to the food shelf.
Diocesan Meeting: September 11th in Spooner. All Grand Knights, Deputy Grand Knights and Financial Secretaries should attend.
5th Sunday: The next one will be October 30th.

Keep them in your prayers: Brother Knight Carlos Santiago died August 25, 2016 in St. Paul, MN. Carlos joined the KC's on August 9, 2011. He was a Third Degree member. Among Carlos's survivors are his daughter Angela, his sister Ytmar and brother-in-law (our brother Knight) Eric Crandall.
Please remember Carlos, and his entire family in your prayers.
Tabled Motion: We have a tabled motion from our August meeting that has to be published before it can be voted on. The motion was to do some hall repair, fix the sidewalk at front doors, Replace Lower level entry door, and fix tile floor in lower level kitchen area. These items will cost around $4,000.00. It will be discussed and voted on at the September meeting.
