Last weekend our council hosted a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree at our hall. We had 4 receive their 1st degree, and 22 receive their 2nd and 3rd degree. Two were from New Richmond. I would like to thank everyone who helped make the event a positive experience for the candidates.
Our council also held our annual Columbus Day dinner the same night. We had around 50 attend, which included representatives from New Richmond Schools Special Services, St. Croix County Birth to Three, and St. Croix County Aging and Disability. We presented each with $500.00 checks after dinner. Each took a few minutes to tell the audience what they have used the funds for and what they have plans for in the future.
We also presented our annual awards. Don Schoenherr was named Knight of the Year; his wife Sandy was named Lady of the Year, and Doug Mills was named the Family of the Year. Please congratulate each one the next time you see them.
We will be having our annual Memorial Mass before our meeting on the 12th, please attend if you can.
We are still looking for a Chairman for the Christmas poster contest. This is a wonderful job that does not take a large amount of time. Please let me know if you might like to help out.
