Grand Knight Report:
We are planning a membership drive at Erin Prairie on Sunday the 12th, we will have a honor guard and anyone who would like help recruit new members are encouraged to come and help out.
Before our October meeting we are planning a first degree, if you know of a Catholic gentleman that is not a Knight, please ask them to join our brotherhood.
Before our September meeting the New Richmond American Legion and our fourth degree Knights helped dedicate our new flag, I would like to thank all who were involved.would also love to see you and your families show up and try to win some of the big money we give out every session. Please let Doug Mills know what night you can help.
Columbus Day Dinner
We will be having our annual Columbus Day Dinner and awards banquet. It will be held on October 18th, with the social hour starting at 5:30, dinner at 7:00pm. Everyone is encouraged to come have a great night and good food with your brother Knights and wives. We will have some interesting guests scheduled to tell us how some of our efforts have helped their clients. Please RSVP to myself by the 13th.
Squires
The Squires are still looking for young men to join their ranks, if you have a son or know of a Catholic young man, please encourage them to join. They have been meeting on the 1st Sunday @ 5:00 pm. Please contact Tony Kilian or Kevin Lorenz.
On the 21st of September our council hosted the Superior Diocesan meeting, we had brother Knights from all over northern Wisconsin and also some of our state officers.
Our council again decided to participate in the Coats for Kids program. We voted to purchase 3 cases of coats this year.
We also decide to help support the police department in their effort to replace all of the departments bullet proof vests. The American Legion and the KC's split the bill with us donating $2,736.00.
Bingo We will need help again this Bingo season. Bingo is the major money maker for our council; we will need help on Sunday nights and the last Friday night of each month. We
Food Drive:
Ed Zimmerman can use some help on the 2nd Monday of the month, 11:30 a.m. at Wal-Mart, West end of the building delivering food to the food shelf.
