Diocesan Meeting:
Diocesan meeting will be held in N.R. Sept.27

Youth Activities:
Our annual Punt, Pass, and Kick, and Soccer challenge is coming up right around the corner. We will need a chairman to coordinate each of these events. If you are interested in helping or chairing either or both of these events, please
contact our new program coordinator Doug Mills.

Fourth Degree:
I am pleased to announce that the Fourth Degree Exemplification has been set for Saturday, October 17, 2015 in New Richmond WI.  It does not get any closer than this.  Please mark your calendar. You will have to be at St. Mary's School around 10:30 AM for registration, lunch will be served at noon. The Exemplification will start around 1:00 PM, we will then attend Mass at 5:00 PM, followed by a
ormal banquet in the church downstairs. There will be a noon luncheon, followed by a short program for the ladies.
Each Knight is required to wear a tuxedo.  Apple Blossom Floral and Events rents tuxedos.   Please contact Cathy Rivard at appleblossom.cathy@yahoo.com or call her at:  715-781-7897.  Cost for the exemplification is $70.00 per Knight. There will be an additional cost for the ladies, not yet determined. Please contact Al Lingen as soon as possible as we need at least 25 Knights in order to hold the Exemplification in New Richmond on Saturday, October 17, 2015. Your Faithfull Navigator Alan Lingen 715-781-0095.

Bingo:
It won’t be long before our bingo nights start back up again. Please remember that we need help every Sunday (starting after Labor Day) and the last Friday of the month.  Many hands make light work!  A sign-up sheet will be at the September meeting, please start planning to help.

Keep them in your prayers:  Brother George Schmit is fighting cancer; Brothers Don
Schoenherr, Vernon Conrad, Pat Donahue and Deacon Mike Germain have all been ill.  Please keep them and their families in your prayers.

Brother Jesse Skramstad, age 48, died Thursday, July 23rd.  He always said it was a win-win situation as he would ‘either beat his cancer and spend more time with his family or he would win by going home to be with Jesus’.  Jesse became a member of the Knights of Columbus on February 19, 2005 and became a 4th degree on May 19, 2007.  His son Jacob is also a member of our council.  Prayers to the family of Jesse Skramstad.

John B. Dean has achieved Honorary Life Membership.  John became a member on April 25, 1965.  He is very active with the Meals on Wheels program. There have been many from he Dean family on our roster since the beginning. John's father Jack was a Grand Knight and Financial Secretary, and his sons Christopher and Michael are both members of our council. Please congratulate John on his 50 years of service!
