A reminder that our meeting this month will be preceded by an Admissions (1st Degree) at 6:30 pm. A short meeting will follow. We will also have our Christmas pot luck, so please bring a dish to pass.
It was announced at our November meeting that there is a need to have someone take over the duty of the hall rentals. Please contact Pat Becker for more information.
The Free Throw Contest will be held on February 4, 2018. John Zipperer is excited to head up the contest and will be looking for volunteers to help out.
In Memoriam
Brother Knight Philip M. LaVenture died on November 18th. "Phip" was a Third Degree and Honorary Life member of New Richmond Council #2845, joining in 1953. His father, Philip, was a State Officer, and his son Jim and son-in-law EJ L'Allier are also members of our council. Please keep Philip, his wife Pat, and the entire LaVenture family in your prayers.
Youth Activities:
Jared Gorka informs me that the Christmas poster contest is underway. We will have the results at the January meeting. If you would like to help Jared in the judging please let him know. He tells me that the kids do such a great job it is hard to pick the winners.
Bingo: The jackpot is getting bigger so extra help is needed. The dates for December are: December 03, 10, 17, 29 (last Friday) and December 31. Bingo is by far our largest fund raiser. Please consider volunteering to help out the council. We could not fund the many things that we do without you and KC Bingo.
Please contact me at [email protected] to help out.
Food Drive: Ed Zimmerman can always use help on the 2nd Monday of each month, 11:30 a.m. at Wal-Mart (southwest end of the building) to help load food and deliver it to the food shelf. What a great way to help those that are in need in our community.
Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign: Bell Ringers…
I was asked if the Knights would help ring bells for the Salvation Army again this year. They have an online sign up to make scheduling very easy. Please go to:
www.ringbells.org

State Charity Raffle Tickets for the State Knights of Columbus Charity Raffle are now available. Please contact Pat Earley if you need tickets. The $50,000 grand prize make the tickets an easy sell, or a great investment if purchasing yourself. 😉 Help us continue the legacy of giving to the victims of accident, illness, and fire, while also supporting our future Priests through our annual support of seminarians.
Seminarian Support: We donated $500 each to the three seminarians in the Superior Diocese. They are Richard Rhinehart, Joseph Stefancin, and Daniel Tracy. Drop them a Christmas card. They are studying at St. Francis Seminary. 3257 South Lake Drive, St. Francis, WI 53235
The Supreme Council will refund $100 per donation back to the council.
Keep them in your prayers: Jerry Lorentz
