Grand Knight Report
Thanks to John Zipperer for taking care of the Free Throw Contest this past weekend. Not as many participants as I was hoping for, but the kids did have fun and there are some very good shooters out there.
We have an Exemplification set up this Sunday February 9th at St. Pat’s after 11:am mass. All you 1st degree Knights are welcome to come out and get your 2nd & 3rd degree it should take about a ½ hour to complete and you will be the first ones to go through the new Exemplification. Please invite family and friends to attend. I am very excited to put this new program into use.
St. Mary’s Kids
The past couple of months the kids at St. Mary’s have been busy participating in KC contests. In December we had the Christmas Poster Contest. Congratulations to all the participants there were a lot of great posters. The First Place winners are as follows: Kindergarten-Kinsley Blanton, 1st Grade- Audrey Deplazes, 2nd Grade-Lewis Groth, 3rd Grade-Gwendolyn Elmhortz, 4th Grade-Natalie Mendez, 5th Grade-Abbie Jackson, 6th Grade- Natalie Graham, 7th Grade-Emma Humphrey, 8th Grade Charles Borgstrom.
Congratulations to Lewis Groth 2nd grader who took 3rd place in the district contest & Gwendolyn Elmhorst 3rd grader who took 1st place in the district. Good luck to the both of you as you advance on in the competition.
Next up was the Knowledge Contest thanks to all the kids who participated. The spelling contest results are as follows. 8th grade 1st -Mary Harrold, 7th grade 1st -Johnny Medini, 2nd (tie) Reid Naser & Jack Charbonneau, 6th grade 1st -Athena Gregerson 2nd -Natalie Graham, 5th grade 1st -Hannah Humphry, 2nd -Abbie Jackson.
Math contest results are: 7th grade 1st Emma Humphrey, 2nd (tie)-David Humphrey & R.J. Amundson, 6th grade 1st-Luke Effertz, 2nd (tie) Nathaline Graham & Emma Anderson, 5th grade 1st Adalyn Geist, 2nd-Megan Gross. Congratulations to all the winners as you will be advanced in the competition.
Then February 2nd we held the Free Throw contest at St Mary’s. Congratulations to 9 year old Gracelyn Scribner who will be moving on to the diocesan contest. Also, congratulations to Nick Stellrecht 12year old who took 1st in the local competition.
Euchre Tournament
There will be a Euchre Tournament for Districts 81 & 82 at our KC Hall on Sunday March 22nd at 1:00 pm. Contact Troy Schmit or Don Schoenherr for details.
Membership News
Congratulations to Lyle Lange, our newest Honorary Life Member. Lyle joined our Council on August 5, 1979 and is a 40-year member.

State KC Convention:
Knights of Columbus 119th Annual Meeting and State Convention May 2nd & 3rd will be held at the KI Convention Center in Green Bay Wisconsin.
