I would like to welcome our newest members: Chris Weinmeyer, Chris Rud, Tim Bailey and Norbert Nilsson who came via transfer from Roseville, MN. Norbert is an Honorary Life and 4th Degree member with nearly 40 years of service to the order.

The council held their annual Christmas potluck at the December meeting. There was lots of good food and other goodies.
State awards: If there is anyone of several that would like to help fill out the forms for any of the State Awards please let me know as they are due soon.
Thank you to all who helped out with the 5th Sunday Donuts and Coffee on such short notice. The next 5th Sunday is April 29th.
The Knowledge Contest will be beginning soon. Packet will be dropped off at St Mary’s School.

February 4, 2018 Free Throw Contest at St Marys School. We will also need volunteers to help out. What a great way to get involved with our youth in the community.
Youth Activities:
The Free Throw Contest will be held on February 4, 2018 at St Mary’s School starting at 12:00 noon. John Zipperer is excited to head up the contest and will be looking for volunteers to help out. Please consider helping out. The District Free Throw Contest will be held in Hammond on February 11th. Time and place to be announced.
Bingo: KC Bingo continues to roll right along. We had 2 winners that split the large jackpot on December 17th Congratulation to Chuck and Sue Ann. The January dates are: 01/07, 01/14, 01/21, 01/26 last Friday, 01/28.
KC Bingo is by far our largest fund raiser. Please consider volunteering to help out the council. We could not fund the many things that we do without you and KC Bingo. Please contact me at [email protected] to help out.
Food Drive: Ed Zimmerman can always use help on the 2nd Monday of each month, 11:30 a.m. at Wal-Mart (southwest end of the building) to help load food and deliver it to the food shelf. What a great way to help those that are in need in our community.
Honorary Life member Congratulations to James Olien, our newest Honorary Life member Jim joined our council on July 13, 1982-and is a Third Degree with 35 years of service. Among other things Jim is a dedicated member of the annual fish frycrew.
