Grand Knight Report:
We will begin our November meeting with a memorial mass for deceased members. This is a long standing tradition in our council, and one that becomes more meaningful with each passing year. We honor all 239 of our deceased brother Knights, and especially those who we lost in 2017: Willie Maitrejean, Dwight Anderson, Dave Olson, Bob Brennan, and Pat McGurran. Please join us if you can.
Please welcome new members Tim Bailey and Chris Rud who attended the Somerset Exemplification on 11/04/17. Tim went through all 3 degrees and Chis went through the1st.
We also had two members that advanced in degree. John Zipperer 3rd and Tom Weinmeyer 2nd. Congratulations.
Congratulations to Sir Knight Shawn Fox, who became a Fourth Degree Knight on October 3rd.
The annual Columbus Day Dinner was held on 10/21/2017. Monetary awards were given to four organizations that support those with intellectual disabilities. Each organization received a check for $500 in addition to the money they already received from the annual Tootsie Roll drive. The organizations are: St Croix County Birth to 3, St Croix County ADRC, Lumberjack Kids and New Richmond School District Special Services.
Tony Kilian (past Grand Knight) received Knight of the Year for his service and dedication to the order. Maureen Kilian was named Lady of the Year for all of her work supporting Tony, as well as her dedication to our parish and her family. The work assumed by the Grand Knight, and his wife and family can be overwhelming at times. Please thank Tony and Maureen for all they have done on behalf of our council the past two years.
Troy and Terri Schmit received the Family of the year award for their active rolls within the Knights of Columbus and IC Church.
Please congratulate Tony and Maureen Kilian and Troy and Terri Schmit if you see them out and about.
Sentiments for Seminarians: November is the month we collect items for our Seminarians. So please bring any items for our seminarians to the meeting.

Free Throw Contest to be held on February 4, 2018. John Zipperer has expressed interest in chairing this program.

Robert E. Ziller is our newest Honorary Life member. Bob joined the Knights on New Year’s Day, 1955, and is a Third degree member. Back at the turn of the century (2000-2001), Bob chaired our Respect Life Essay contests. Congratulations, and thanks for your many years of service Bob!
