We will begin our November meeting with a reading of the roll of deceased members. Please join me in observing a moment of prayer for the three Brother Knights we have lost since November, 2019. They are Haulis E. Simon, James J. Tilly, and David J. Bibeau. May the souls of all of the faithfully departed Knights of Columbus members of Council #2845 rest in peace.
Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is only a couple weeks away. I hope you and your family have a safe and happy Thanksgiving, and that you are all doing well and avoiding the Covid-19. As most of you know I did come down with the Covid-19 two weeks ago. I was lucky it was just a mild case, with no symptoms to even know that I had it.
New Richmond Community Thanksgiving Dinner
We again are helping sponsor the Thanksgiving day dinner at Immaculate Conception Church.
Help is very much needed for delivery of 150 meals & curbside pickup at the church as there will be no sit down dinner at the church this year. If you are willing to help please contact Rhonda Bierbrauer @ 715-246-2086 or Immaculate Conception Church @ 715-246-4652 your help would be very much appreciated.

E-Mail from the State Deputy he wanted shared
Good Afternoon Alan and Jeff, I hope all is well. Can you please share this e-mail with other leaders from the council and let me know of any feedback that you have or assistance that is needed.
As of 4 months into the Fraternal year--Council 2845 has yet to bring in a new member. The council has lost 1 member to death or transfer this year, so they are net/net -1. Over these next 2 months, the State has an incentive in place to try and have each council active in bringing in 1 new member. At this same time--Supreme is offering the FREE online membership incentive for a year for any member that joins before 12/31. Is your council willing to accept the challenge to bring in at least 1 new member in the next 2 months? What can your State team do to help? What is your biggest struggle with growing your membership over these past few years that the State team can assist with? Some activities that have proven to be very helpful for councils this year to bring in new members during this Pandemic State:
1. Meeting with their Parish Priest and asking the Priest if he could assist in inviting 3-5 men who are not Knights to ‘learn more’ about the Knights.
2. Sending Letters about the Knights to All Families of the Parish--inviting them to learn more about the Knights (requesting the Parish Roster from the Priest or Parish Administrator)
3. Meeting with the Parish Council Members and seeing how the Knights can assist with any programs or needs of the Parish
4. Recruiting through Programs! (Whether it be a Blood Drive, Food for Families program, etc.)
These are just a few of the many ideas that the council can utilize outside of the traditional Church Drive to try and recruit men into your council.
We welcome the opportunity to assist in any way that the council is needing help. Our Membership Director Rick Raulin, your State Officer in Charge Miles, and myself are here to help! We are willing to have a conference call with your members to discuss ways to grow membership in spite of the Pandemic.
Would you be willing to ask each and every one of your members to see if they have at least 1 person that they know who is not a Knight that they can ask about joining your council? Signing up Online to join the Knights is a great way for the member to save on the costs and also the member can join your council through an online exemplification, on-demand by viewing the Supreme exemplification or attending a live exemplification at the Council! It has never been easier to join the Knights.
What better way to celebrate yesterday’s Beatification of our Founder Michael McGivney than by offering every man in your Parish the opportunity to join the Knights of Columbus?
Keep up the good work and please let us know how we can help!
I look forward to hearing back from you!
Thanks,Corey Christopher Coonen, State Deputy
