Grand Knight Report: Our council hosted the annual officers installation on the 21st of August. In attendance were all the councils from District 81 and the councils from District 88. All officers from both districts were installed by the two district deputies followed by very delicious meal.
Our council again sent a team to Somerset's annual golf tournament, for the 4th year in a row our council won the trophy for KC members only. Good job guys.
Our councils softball team took third place this summer, also both of our golf teams made the playoffs this year. The Tuesday night team came up one point short from making it to the championship round.
Our flag was able to be raised and left up this past weekend. Lee Brown and Brett Lingen installed the new light, trenched in the wire and ran wire from the inside to the outside of the building. Troy Schmit chaired this project and coordinated the purchase and setting of the pole. I would like to thank everyone who worked on this project for all of their hard work. Everyone should take the time to check the flag out at night, it is very impressive. We will be having a dedication of the new flag before our next meeting at 6:15 pm, we would love to have as many people as possible to attend the ceremony.
We will be having a membership drive out at Erin the first part of October followed by a first degree at the October meeting. If anyone knows of a Catholic gentleman that is not a Knight, please ask them if they might like to join our brotherhood.
The past weekend our council hosted coffee and doughnuts at church for the 5th Sunday. I would like to thank Terry Palmer and Louie Dabruzzi for their help in making the 5th Sunday a success.
Our council will be hosting the Superior diocesan meeting on Sunday September 21st. All of our officers and anyone else interested in attending is encouraged to sign up. We will need a few helpers early in the morning to set up the various meeting areas. Please let me know if you might be available.
We need to start planning for our annual Punt, Pass and Kick competition and our Soccer Challenge. We need to have one or two gentlemen step up and chair one or both of these events for our youth. If you are interested in being a chairman or would like to help out, please let myself or Tony Kilian know how you can help out.
Bingo Bingo will be starting again for the season on September 7th. We will need help. Bingo is the major money maker for our council; we will need help on Sunday nights and the last Friday night of each month. We would also love to see you and your families show up and try to win some of the big money we give out every session. Please let Doug Mills know what night you can help.

Please keep our brothers that are sick or in distress in your prayers; Don Schoenherr, Tim Holland, & Dave Olsen. Don will be having surgery this coming week.
Squires The Squires are still looking for young men to join their ranks, if you have a son or know of a Catholic young man, please encourage them to join. They have been meeting on the 1st Sunday @ 5:00 pm. Please contact Tony Kilian or Kevin Lorenz.
Food Drive: Ed Zimmerman can use some help on the 2nd Monday of the month, 11:30 a.m. at Wal-Mart, West end of the building delivering food to the food shelf.
