Youth Activities: The Punt, Pass and Kick and Soccer Challenge were held on August 26th in conjunction with Corn Fest. There were 27 boys and girls who participated in the two events. Thank you to those who helped make the events a success. The Centre, Terry Palmer, Vince Kaiser, Shawn Fox, Don Schoenherr, Mark Casey, Al Lingen, Brian Donahue, John Linneman, Bill Johnson, Phillip Mills, Jared Gorka, Kevin Effertz, Cole Effertz, Jake LaVenture.
Bingo: KC Bingo for the 2017/2018 season will begin on Sunday September 10th. The estimated jackpot will be at $2500.00. Extra help is needed to assist with the large jackpot. We will need help at the bar to serve food, call the winning numbers, clean up and general assistance throughout the evening. Sept 10, 17, 24, and 29.

Golf Tournament: The Somerset Council golf tournament was won by the New Richmond Council 2845 team of Jeff Williams, Phillip Mills, Lee Brown and Tim Peterson. WE HAVE THE PADDLE BACK!!!! Maybe.
Food Drive: Ed Zimmerman can always use help on the 2nd Monday of each month, 11:30 a.m. at Wal-Mart (southwest end of the building) to help load food and deliver it to the food shelf.

Honorary Member: Congratulations to John E. Ball, our newest Honorary member. John joined the KC’s on April 30th, 1972; and received his First, Second, and Third Degrees that day. John is now a Fourth Degree member and has been an active member of our council for over 45 years!

Patrick W. McGurran died on August 14th. Pat joined the Knights of Columbus on April 29, 1956, and was a Third Degree member for over 61 years. Pat was a Past Grand Knight, and our longtime Treasurer. He was very active at IC Parish, serving on the Parish Council, lecturing, and running our 5th Sunday coffee and donut gatherings for many years. Though he was limited physically the past few years, Pat always stayed engaged with the council through visits, buying raffle tickets, and even attended our 75th Anniversary last fall. Please keep Pat, his wife Barb, their 4 adult children, and large extended family in your prayers.
Robert J. Brennan died on June 20th. Robert joined the Knights on March 6, 1977 and was a member of our council for 40 years. Bob would always greet you with a smile, was an avid Packer fan, and attended dances and dinners at the KC Hall whenever possible. Please remember Bob in your prayers. I apologize for the late notice for Bob.
