A great big THANK YOU to all who helped out with the Tootsie Roll Drive we could not achieved this amount of money without your help. So far we have raised $5,104.68 to date and have sent requests to businesses in town for donations. When going down to the KC hall for my first shift I asked myself why am I doing this as I have plenty of other things I could be doing instead of this. Well I did my first shift of collections and as I was driving back to the hall a warm fuzzy feeling came over me that what I had just completed made me feel good inside and realized why I volunteered my time. After talking to some of the people on the same shift they said they felt the same way.

The Essay Topic for 2020-2021 is Faith in Action – Community Programs. We will need someone to take this project on. So if one of you fine men would like to take on a project here is a pretty easy one. I also have information on the Free Throw Championship to share with the chair.
Blood Drive:
Here is an e-mail I received from the Red Cross Thank you for hosting a blood drive. Tour willingness to open your doors and recruit blood donors is vital to the lives of the patients that we serve. Your support and generosity helps to ensure blood needs are meet locally. And once that is done assists the Red Cross in ensuring blood is available when and where it is needed the most – the ongoing fulfillment of our mission depends on you! Your blood drive held in July is now on its way to helping hospital patients at the below hospitals. You and your team should be proud. The hospitals where the blood went were Olmstead Medical, Center Hospital, St. Gabriel’s Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Allina Health System Cambridge. While there may have been other hospitals that benefitted from your efforts the following hospitals received the majority of products collected from your drive. We are signed up for two more blood drives October 22n & December 18th please mark your calendars to get signed up to give blood.
